Korean War, 1950

This committee will begin on June 27, 1950, the day that the United Nations Security Council met regarding North Korea's invasion of South Korea two days earlier. This is the largest crisis that the UN had faced in its short existence, and it will need to navigate the tempestuous waters of a post war world. Delegates in this committee will represent members of the United Nations, and will need to work together in order to ensure that the Korean conflict is resolved and the world is not plunged into chaos. This committee will require sensitivity and a willingness to compromise, as the slightest misstep could start a larger war that could end in the use of nuclear weapons.
