Rise Of China

Description

The rise of China will most certainly be one of the great events of the twenty-first century. Since the declaration of Deng Xiaoping that to be rich is glorious in the 1980’s, China has taken a running leap into the future - economically, scientifically, and, for a while, politically and socially. From long range air-to-air missiles to increased developments in artificial intelligence and genetic engineering, China's advancements in technologies of all sorts are about to pose a complex challenge to the world. Its unbelievable economic development has been called a model for developing countries and will surpass the United States within a few decades. China's rapid growth has already begun to change East Asia, but how exactly will this situation play out? And what can countries do to preserve their positions as China continues to advance? In this meeting, China, other East Asian countries, and the U.S. will come together to discuss the issues that China poses to the world while navigating a number of crises. Delegates will come together to deal with the trade wars, economic dilemmas, environmental issues and military threats that come into play in this committee.
