The Manufactured and Fractured States Of America

Description

It is the year 2021, and the wealthiest eight people in the world have more money than the bottom half of the globe. The presidential election has just taken place between the Democrat Bernie Sanders and the Republican Donald J. Trump. Through a narrow electoral majority, Trump has emerged victorious; but Sanders, who won 78% of the popular vote, has refused to concede. He cites the American constitutional value of “one person, one vote” as reason enough for a full scale political revolution. The country has fractured under intense political pressure; all sides are refusing to back down. Key political figures have come together in a last ditch attempt to prevent a national war. Will it work? Or will things get a little bit civil?
