Awards Guidelines

When selecting delegates for commendation, Staffers will base their decisions on the following criteria:


Position Papers

-Delegate submitted a position paper -- they are mandatory for awards!

-The position paper was sufficiently researched and demonstrated a good grasp on the topic.

Participation

-Delegate actively participated and listened well to other delegates.

-Delegate was respectful of other people and staff in the committee.

Speeches

-Delegate's speeches were well delivered and well informed.

Directives

-Delegate was engaged in writing directives and collaborating with others.

-Delegate showed both leadership and collaboration skills.

Crisis activity

-Delegate was actively engaged with crisis.

Committee-specific awards

-Each committee will offer a unique award category based on the Chairs' goals for the debate. Chairs will explain the category to the delegates at the start of the first committee session.
