NATO Expansion

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a military alliance founded directly after World War II by several European countries. During the Cold War the NATO alliance was used to collectively oppose and protect the allied countries from Soviet aggression. Although several Russian leaders have adamantly protested the expansion of the organization, NATO has continued to allow new members. Now, in 2008, Georgia and Poland are petitioning to join the alliance, but questions arise over whether this will spark conflict with Russia. You, the delegation, will work on both sides to diplomatically resolve this situation.
